The third-year students (Biology study program) of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka visited the Institute of Genetic Resources

The third-year students (Biology study program) of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka visited the Genebank of plant and animal genetic resources at the Institute of Genetic Resources.

On this occasion, laboratory lectures were held by Assoc. Prof. Dragana Šnjegota within the faculty course Genetics 2 in the laboratories of the Institute of Genetic Resources.

Students participated in the isolation of genomic DNA from jackal (Canis aureus) tissue samples and visualized the isolates on agarose gel after electrophoresis for the duration of 1 hour.

Scientific associate Dr. Biljana Lolić and Assoc. Prof. Jelena Nikitović participated in the laboratory lectures.
